On the Duke Divinity School Addition (from www.skanskausa.com):

“The crucial theme of the New Addition building as well as the renovation of the existing building is creating the effect of fluidity. This presented a welcome challenge to the design team to capture the feel of the older buildings within a new design. The design by Hartman-Cox Architects mirrors the existing architecture of Duke Chapel, which is the focal point of the West Campus architecture.

“The New Addition includes a chapel, which will incorporate exterior limestone arches and stone from Duke University's own quarry, which was used exclusively on the West Campus construction and now as a key accent on the buildings. The installation of the Duke Stone is crucial to the appearance of the building. The New Addition includes classrooms, a refectory, seminar rooms, teaching laboratories, offices, a bookstore, a prayer room and a chapel to expand the Divinity School facilities.”
