The Institute of Preaching began more than 20 years ago to enhance the preaching of pastors in the Florida Annual Conference. The Institute now partners with Leadership Education at Duke Divinity to offer this highly selective program.
The Institute is an intensive series of retreats offered over nine months for a small group of pastors. And this year the Institute will expand to include pastors from outside of Florida. With the support of the Parish Ministry Fund, pastors from the Western North Carolina Conference also will attend.
Twelve pastors from Florida and six from Western North Carolina will be chosen to participate in three retreats and a congregational training day between August 2008 and April 2009.
The deadline to receive applications is
March 28, 2008.

The Institute is a partnership between the Florida Institute of Preaching Committee and Duke Divinity School. It is sponsored by the Florida Annual Conference and the Parish Ministry Fund of the Western North Carolina Conference.
