Probationers' Seminar
Location
The seminar will be held on the campus of Duke University, located in Durham, North Carolina. Set among the pine forests of central North Carolina, the gothic campus inspires reflection, conversation, and study. The seminar meetings will convene in the Divinity School.
Schedule
September 18, 2008 9:15 a.m.-5:15 p.m.
September 19, 2008 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Registration Fee
The seminar registration fee includes tuition, shared accommodations, on-campus parking, lunch on Thursday, lunch on Friday, and refreshment breaks. Participants are responsible for dinner on Thursday evening, and travel, including ground transportation to/from the hotel and campus.
Travel
Duke University is easily accessible by car or air. I-85, I-40, and I-95 provide easy access to Durham. Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) provides jet service to most major destinations. Conference participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.
Ground Transportation
Participants are responsible for securing ground transportation to and from the airport and between the seminar meeting facilities and the hotel. Taxi service is available curbside outside the baggage claim. Approx. $40 fare to hotels.
Parking
Parking is available for Probationers’ Seminar registrants in the Bryan Center parking deck located on Science Drive.
At registration, you will receive a voucher to present upon exit from the lot each day. By presenting the voucher to the deck attendant, you will not need to pay for your parking. If you do not present the voucher, you will be required to pay for your parking. Note that you will not have “in & out” privileges – once you park for the day, you may not leave the deck and return without paying for the second portion of your parking.
