Vanderbilt University’s Brad Braxton to Lead 2007 Gardner Taylor Lecture

The Office of Black Church Studies and the Black Seminarians Union are pleased to present the 2007 Gardner C. Taylor Lecture Series, to be held on Oct. 2 and 3.
Dr. Brad Braxton, associate professor of homiletics and New Testament at Vanderbilt University Divinity School and an ordained Baptist pastor, will be the featured speaker. He will present a lecture titled “Images of African American Preachers: Refocusing for a Righteous Revolution” at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 in Goodson Chapel. Related events include a clergy continuing education seminar led by Braxton on Oct. 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
