Visiting Scholar Program

AEHS welcomes a visiting scholar for one semester each year to participate in life at Duke Divinity School and to especially share in the fellowship of the AEHS.

Visiting scholars may be ordained or lay Anglicans from any province of the Anglican Communion. While taking sabbatical time at Duke, past scholars participated in classes and colloquia, interacted with faculty and students, and took advantage of the libraries and other resources at Duke Divinity School.

Interested scholars should apply directly to the director of AEHS with a letter explaining their interest and a curriculum vitae including the names of at least two references by Jan. 10 of the year preceding the academic year they would to be a visiting scholar. Visiting scholars may come for the fall (late August through early December) or spring (early January through late April) semester, but only one opportunity is available per academic year. The program is non-residential and does not offer a stipend.
