Black Church Studies

Black church studies at Duke leads the entire divinity community in racial reconciliation by helping all students reflect deeply on racial identity, the powerful legacies of racial identity and the continuing challenges for Christians of color, and the issues and concerns of the global black church.

The Office of Black Church Studies aids in this vital work by helping students of color gain the greatest possible value from their theological formation and by supporting all students in the crucial work of deepening communion across racial and cultural boundaries.
