A multi-district Clergy Health Initiative continuing education event, co-sponsored with the Goldsboro and Durham districts.

Description

Please join the staff of the Clergy Health Initiative and Duke Divinity School on Tuesday, April 29 at Horne Memorial United Methodist Church, Clayton, North Carolina for a one-day continuing education event about theological perspectives on care for our bodies. The day will consist of reflections on the leading causes of life; the connection of health and holiness; and contemplating how we physically embody the “body of Christ”. The event will also include an opportunity to hear an update on the Clergy Health Initiative project. We hope that you are able to attend.

Intended audience

The intended audience includes pastors of the United Methodist Church in the North Carolina Conference. However, anyone interested is invited to attend.

Registration

The registration fee for this event is $10.00 per person. Your fee includes lunch and materials. The registration deadline is Monday, April 21, 2008. The cost of this event is kept to a minimum thanks to the generous support of The Duke Endowment, which is designated for assisting clergy with continuing education needs. Participants who attend all of the sessions in their entirety may receive 0.6 CEU.

Please fill out a registration form and return it through mail or facsimile by Monday, April 21, 2008.

Cancellation

All registration fees are non-refundable. Cancellations will result in forfeiture of the registration fee.
