Faith & Fundraising (Group 1)

REGISTRATION

All participants must complete a Reservation Form for the Faith & Fundraising seminar. Please review the conference information below and submit the online form no later than Friday, June 27, 2008.

SCHEDULE AND CHECK-IN

The seminar will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 11th, and conclude with lunch on Thursday, August 14th.  Lunch will not be provided on Monday, but participants will have various dining options inside University Place or nearby the hotel. For options inside the hotel, see hotel restaurants.

Event check-in will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the first floor lobby of the Conference Center, and the first session will begin at 2:00 p.m. that day in Room 231. View the hotel floor plan.

ACCOMMODATIONS

All meetings, meals and overnight accommodations will be provided by the SPE Coordination Program at University Place Conference Center & Hotel.  Each guest will receive a private room.  Check-in time is 4:00 p.m.  (Because the meeting begins at 1:00 p.m., a safe space to store baggage will be provided before 4:00 p.m.).  Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

By Car

If you choose to drive to the meeting, parking will be available in the hotel’s underground garage.  Parking tags will be available for you upon arrival at event registration. View map and driving directions.

By Air

If you will be arriving by air, a pre-arranged shuttle service from the Indianapolis airport to University Place (and back) will be available through Carey Indiana Transportation. All passengers must check-in at the Carey Indiana booth. Please view detailed instructions.

Please schedule flights to arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Monday, and to depart after 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.  On your arrival day (Monday, August 11), the shuttle service will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the last departure from the airport at 12:45 p.m.  There will be mini-buses running approximately every fifteen minutes (on the quarter hour) to transport you to University Place hotel.  If your flight must arrive after the last departure at 12:45 p.m., a share-ride van or car through Carey Indiana can be arranged for you.  You may incur an additional shuttle fee.

**If your flight is delayed, Carey Indiana will be able to accommodate your schedule change and arrange transportation to the hotel. 

EMERGENCY CONTACT

If you need to relay information to us about a travel delay or another unexpected contingency before you arrive, please contact Leadership Education at Duke Divinity at 919.613.5323. If someone needs to contact you after you arrive, during office hours they may contact Garland Loper at the University Place Conference Center & Hotel at 317.274.3876. After hours, they may call the front desk at 317.269.9000. They should mention they are calling regarding participants in the “Leadership Education at Duke Divinity” event.
