Ministry Fellowship Applications for Youth Workers
Duke Divinity School is pleased to announce the third year of its fellowship program for youth workers. Begun in 2006, the program invites four to six youth workers to walk alongside the Duke Youth Academy for two weeks in July to learn from the academy’s model of youth ministry. Fellows will have opportunities to learn from internationally acclaimed Divinity School faculty, to reflect together on the implications of DYA practices for their own youth ministries, and to continue discerning their own calling to ministry with youth. In addition, fellows will be invited to experience the transformative power of intentional Christian community with the students and staff of the DYA.
Successful applicants should currently serve in a youth ministry setting in a church, hold a bachelors degree but no formal theological training, and have no more than two years of full-time or five years of part-time youth ministry experience. 2008 program dates are July 13-26. Applications are due January 30, 2008; decisions will be mailed no later than March 1. For more information, please contact duyouth@div.duke.edu.
