Horne Memorial UMC has an opening for a Director of Youth Ministries. In the Raleigh district, Horne Memorial is located in downtown Clayton, North Carolina.

Purpose: to bring/strengthen our youth in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Reporting to the Sr. Pastor, the position has oversight responsibility for children's ministry (through 6th grade), with direct ministry responsibility for youth in grades 7-12. The position responsibilities for youth ministry include: Recruiting/supporting youth participation in the youth program; Building relationships with youth/parents to counseling as needed; Identifying/developing, planning/promoting Christian programming; Planning/implementing mission trips and retreats; Recruiting adult leaders; Leading fund raising activities; Initiating, sponsoring and encouraging participation in youth community and conference programs/events. Qualifications for position include: Reformed theology, Gospel-centric (having led several to Christ), people-oriented, preferring a congregation of approx. 200 vs. mega-church, able to actively support Bay's mission, values and vision, evangelistic, preaching/administrative/recruiting skills required to pastor church plant within 2-3 years.

St. Luke United Methodist Church, a well-established, traditional church, is looking for a full-time Youth Director who will build upon and strengthen a youth program currently with 20 youth participating weekly. Canterbury United Methodist Church is seeking a full-time Junior High Youth Director to continue and strengthen its youth ministry. Canterbury is a 5,000+ member church in Mountain Brook, Alabama, (a Birmingham suburb) with approximately 375 seventh through twelfth graders on the rolls of the church. The Junior High Director will be responsible for developing the junior high youth ministry, particularly in leadership in programming, small groups, Bible Studies and service opportunities.
