The United Methodist Wesley Foundation located near the campus of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) is a Campus Ministry Director. FAMU, a historically black university, has become the number-one college for African Americans in the country, according to Black Enterprise Magazine's September 2006 issue. In the fall of 1997, FAMU was selected as the TIME Magazine-Princeton Review‚ College of the Year". The director, main responsibility is to reach out to and build relationships with students, helping them to develop not only spiritually but also as strong leaders in the church. Duties will include outreach to students, discipling, supervising ministry, organizing small groups, planning/coordinating special events (retreats, missions), and developing mutually supportive relationships with local churches and mission organizations. The director will also be responsible for all aspects of the Wesley Foundation, which includes upkeep of a building, financial and budgetary concerns, administration, fundraising and the maintaining of a Board of Directors."
