Horne Memorial UMC has an opening for a Director of Youth Ministries. In the Raleigh district, Horne Memorial is located in downtown Clayton, North Carolina. Purpose: to bring/strengthen our youth in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Reporting to the Sr. Pastor, the position has oversight responsibility for children's ministry (through 6th grade), with direct ministry responsibility for youth in grades 7-12. The position responsibilities for youth ministry include: Recruiting/supporting youth participation in the youth program; Building relationships with youth/parents to counseling as needed; Identifying/developing, planning/promoting Christian programming; Planning/implementing mission trips and retreats; Recruiting adult leaders; Leading fund raising activities; Initiating, sponsoring and encouraging participation in youth community and conference programs/events.
