Canterbury United Methodist Church is seeking a full-time Junior High Youth Director to continue and strengthen its youth ministry. Canterbury is a 5,000+ member church in Mountain Brook, Alabama, (a Birmingham suburb) with approximately 375 seventh through twelfth graders on the rolls of the church. The Junior High Director will be responsible for developing the junior high youth ministry, particularly in leadership in programming, small groups, Bible Studies and service opportunities. Responsibilities: The Director's primary functions will be to: Continue current ministries and implement new ministries in the Junior High program that are aligned to the mission and vision of Canterbury Student Ministries Provide spiritual guidance and direction for junior high students and parents Participate in community and school events involving youth members Work along side current full and part-time youth ministry staff
