Masculine perspectives have long dominated the field of theology. In fact, most of the historical and current texts available are written by Christian males. However, women are surfacing as theologians today, dotting modern theology with their different ideas. Feminist theology is complex. There are many different ideas and views within this school of thought. Chapter 8 seeks to explore some of the key definitions within Feminist theology. An A to Z of Feminist Theology, an excellent and comprehensive encyclopedia of feminist theology. Because of the multitude and variance in feminist definitions, the end of chapter eight contains a bibliography of current dictionaries and encyclopedias elaborating and offering more terms used by feminist theologians.
