Research Resources
The Duke Center for Studies in the Wesleyan Tradition is committed to developing and providing access to a range of research resources for students and scholars of the Wesleyan tradition around the globe.
The core of our research resources are the rare book, archive, and general collection holdings on Wesleyan and Methodist topics in the libraries of Duke University. Of particular note in this regard are the Frank Baker Collection and the Baker Methodist Research Center.
In addition to the typical library visiting privileges offered to scholars, we sponsor a special Summer Wesley Seminar that enables participants to spend a month working in our collections and consulting with our faculty in Wesley and Methodist studies.
The growing edge of our commitment to assist Wesley and Methodist scholarship on a global basis is the development and posting of significant online resources. These are gathered into two collections:
